"I Need You"

I wanted to create an image that shows an exact moment, the moment when Isla realises that while she can do things alone, she doesn't truly want to, the moent she realises that she has grown to love without thought, a moment when the person she has come to love needs her to be what they have been for her, strong, brave and determined but affectionate and compassionate.

It's a big moment for Isla, part of the process we all endure as we grow and change.

Hidden out of shot is a vast frozen tundra, an icy void filled with trees stripped of their leaves, snow so deep that she call fall and no one would ever see her, fog so dense that she could scream and none would hear her.

I intentionally decided to focus almost purely on the light from her lamp touching her face, the little glimmer of hope warming her heart in an otherwise frozen wilderness.

The intention being to portray the exact moment that Isla comes to realise that she loves another.
