Fae was designed for the purpose of writing a story centred around a character battling with mental health concerns, in particular Fae suffers from Depression and Bipolar-Disorder, enduring often horrifying spikes and fall of emotions that render her almost incapable of functioning.
Fae abandons her home one Christmas to set out to create a new life for herself in a new town Ljianstipol, a place she spent many of her teen years in a mental health rehabilitation facility called the Davizioso. Much to her surprise Fae finds herself working at the Davizioso and it sparks a renewed fight within her to use her own personal battles with her mental health problems to help other people to avoid the same painful life that she has endured.
The story itself (Life Downside Up) follows the story of Fae as she learns to overcome her personal demons and discovers that she has a driven and determined ability to help other people overcome their own battles. Told entirely from Fae's perspective the story is portrayed in a warts and all style where the battles that rage within her are accounted in often crushing detail along with the way that after her move, Fae's life changes for the better.
Life Downside Up is a story is based upon the swirling battle raging inside my own head while I battled with my own depression and currently I am in the process of looking to have the book published.
