What If We Just Keep Going?

What if instead of using every failure, every nasty or negative comment as a reason to give up,

Instead you used it as a reason to just keep going?

Instead of quitting, you take every failure as a lesson and learn to get better?

Take every success in equal manner and use them to grow?

Use every frustration as fuel to find a new way forwards?

How different would everything be if instead of giving up or giving in, you just took the bumps and kept going?

Kept messing things up and making mistakes but just carried on regardless?

I truly believe that I am no-one special at all, my only true quality is that I refuse to quit.

3 years ago I decided to teach myself how to draw, listened to all the criticism, took all the stupid mistakes I made and carried on growing and learning.

I made mistakes and teaching myself might not have been the easiest of ways to do it, but it has been worth every moment of misery.

Especially when I look at my first drawing and compare it to where I have come to be,

I'm still not the greatest by any means and nor would I claim to be, but perseverance and dedication does pay off,

So, if you ever find yourself ready to quit, take my only piece of advice of any virtue,

Just keep going!
