Refining Skin Textures With Evelyn

Before I start really getting into Scorpio's book and the images to go with it, I wanted to keep tweaking my tests from Christmas, enhancing the skin textures and tones along with some further refinement to the lighting sets that I plan to use.

With Evelyn being my 'go to' for testing I opted to use her as in truth I can work out how just about any other character will work once I have tested with Evelyn and she is still my favourite test subject for almost everything.

I used this scene for three lighting tests and also to test different levels of sheen on her skin.

This was the first, a low intensity daylight setting.

This is actually going to be part of a short story about Evelyn and the way Fae see's her.

My second test was with lower sheen but a more prominent sunset type lighting with soft oranges to see how they reacted with a slightly glossier skin

This test was in full sunlight with a very soft level of sheen on her skin but also testing the way shadows interact with her skin tones.

The final test was with fully indirect lighting in a sunset scenario but higher sheen to see how those deep tones respond, in truth I really like this one.
