I put the original concept images out for this way back in May/June?
But I couldn't bring myself to tell a story that wasn't about one of my characters and I needed a way to retire Evelyn and Fae, so here we are six months later with a revised concept.
I get asked quite often about writing stories and how to get published and nothing would make me happier than seeing someone else do the same but I won't lie to anyone about how much work is really involved, so I figured why don't I write a story about writing stories and the truths about what happens after you get published?
The story will feature all of my characters, including a few you have yet to meet, it's a long time since I have done a story like this and put it out on public view, normally they stay very much locked away with me.
Hopefully the story will be coming for the new year, depending largely on how close to having the first draft of Isla's story ready to edit I am by Christmas,
Gosia is the character in the main image, modelled in Blender, then rigged for Gen 8.1 then moved back to Blender for rendering,
Ayiana is in the second concept image, modelled in Blender then rigged for Gen 9 then moved back to Blender for rendering,
Third image is Gosia and Ayiana.
Clothes are a mix of self made stuff and Daz stuff, except the backpack that is the teen accessories for Gen 9 but I retextured it to work better in the cycles engine of Blender.
The environment was made in Blender, plants were made in Blender or imported from either Botaniq or Plantica, they're all manually placed, I've largely ditched particle and scattering systems as I don't feel they truly echo natures chaos, so I would rather spend a couple of hours placing stuff or making it in scene.
Lighting is courtesy of my sun system and is a single OSL, colour temp is set to k5700 with a blued tinge to the colour.
Camera is set to f3.6 using my lensing and focusing system to give the depth of field,
No AI, no postwork aside from sloppily adding a hallmark in paint.
