I have never known exactly what it is about Evelyn that captures peoples hearts so much but there's just something about her, a natural charm of some kind.
Whether it was because she is so petit, her fiery red hair or green eyes, the way she wants to be at one with the world or a strange mix of all but from the very beginning there was just something about her that people utterly adored.
Of course she holds a very special place in my heart too, she was the start of my journey to discover that I am an author, the testing ground for my shift from Daz to Blender and beyond.
In a strange way I never believed she would become the centerpiece of my work for so long and in truth I have no idea how to try recreate her natural charm.
Though time is now taking it's toll on Evelyn, each time I create a new texturing process, her mesh starts to shows it's weaknesses, you may not see it yet, but I do.
In a poetic yet brutal way, the simple truth is that the hardest thing about creating a character like Evelyn is learning when the time has come to let go.
But if I am truly going to let go of Evelyn and all of my Gen 1 characters, then maybe they deserve one last moment in the sun?
A grand finale and last hurrah of the characters that started it all?
