Paisley

Paisley is a relatively new character and during the past month I have been working out some outfits for her, so that I will be ready to start working on the images for Savena's story.

The basic narrative is that Paisley is a 12 year old aspiring/wannabee influencer and part of Savena's group of five friends, so in terms of looks and outfits I wanted something similar to the theory behind Savena's wardrobe, where she can swap and change elements of a four or five outfits to create a nearly infinite wardrobe.

Paisley has become one and the same with her digital life so the theory is that she is trying to draw attention to herself and I guess ageing herself up to create an online interest/presence, even if at times, that is the wrong kind of interest.

Sexualising a character isn't in my interest, so creating a wardrobe for Paisley has been testing for me mentally but I do want and need to portray this strange online world accurately but without taking things way over, so I worked to the idea of if I am just about comfortable with some of her outfits then I'm probably about right for what I need for the narrative to remain believable but without crossing that line between purposeful and gratuitous.
