From Sketch To 3D in Blender

In an effort to start doing more work in progress and the process of assembling scenes in Blender, I thought that I would convert a sketch I did yesterday of a fairy watching a raindrop form on a leaf into a 3D scene using Blender,

I made a few tweaks to the scene along the way and changed the scene from a nighttime one to a dusk scene but pretty pleased with it

I started from scratch, in the same way I did with the sketch, to have a clean sheet so to speak

I actually used the default cube!

I converted the default cube to form the stone ledge where my fairy would be perched

I built a small landscape around the stone and added a water plane and imported a ready posed fairy from Daz Studio

Then added grass, plants and some scatter items along with the larger plant she is hiding below

Finally I added the forming water droplet to the leaf of the plant she is sheltering beneath

The first run was pretty good, I liked the lighting but then added a little more for good measure
